What counts as one league?
A league is one group of teams sharing one schedule and one standings table. If groups don't play each other (like Rec and Competitive), those are separate leagues.
Can a player join multiple leagues?
Yes. Players can play across multiple nights, formats, and skill divisions without issue.
How long does it take to set up a league?
Less than 5 minutes. Enter the details, share your link, and you’re off. We’ll handle the scheduling and send you updates as things roll.
When do I need to pay for hoops.love?
The day before your league starts. No upfront nonsense. We support multiple payment methods and offer a money-back guarantee if it’s not a fit.
Do players need to create accounts?
Nope. Players can register, report scores, and check standings—all without setting up an account.
What payment options do I have for team registration?
You can use in-app Stripe payments or handle payments externally. Stripe enforces payment at signup, while external gives you flexibility but requires manual payment tracking.
What if a team drops before the season starts?
Refunds are manager-controlled. For Stripe payments, you can refund in Stripe or from the Billing page, then remove the team to reopen the spot.
Can teams see their standings in the league?
They sure can! League standings automatically update as scores are reported on hoops.love.
What types of leagues can I run?
Our goal is to support all possible formats. If you have a unique format that we don‘t currently support, let us know and we‘ll do our best to get it added.
Does hoops.love charge transaction fees on team registrations?
It’s your choice! You can process payments in-app during team registration or handle them manually. In-app payments incur a small fee (4.4% + 30¢), which you can choose to pass along automatically if you wish to.
How do you prevent bad score reporting?
Scores can only be reported in a limited window, and you can make score reporting staff-only. If someone abuses score reporting, contact us and we can block access.
Do you offer multi-league pricing or a flat rate per team?
Possibly. Contact us with your expected team counts and season structure and we can discuss pricing options.
Is there a mobile app for hoops.love?
You betcha! Just go to app.hoops.love and add to your home screen. It's built mobile-first and works great on any device.
